UPI & QR Codes

Add a UPI payment QR code to your GST invoices so customers can pay by scanning, and understand the other QR options GST Pro supports.

Overview

GST Pro can render a QR code on your invoice. The most common use is a UPI payment QR that customers scan to pay, but the same QR block can also encode the order's status-page link or the invoice number. For B2B e-invoices, the government-signed IRN QR is handled separately.

Before you start

  • Your UPI ID (VPA), e.g. yourbusiness@okhdfcbank.
  • A template that includes a QR block (set the QR value in the template's settings).

Steps

Add your UPI ID

In GST Pro settings, enter the UPI ID you want customers to pay to.

Choose the QR value in your template

In the template editor, open the QR block and choose what it should encode:

  • UPI payment — a scan-to-pay UPI QR for the invoice amount.
  • Order page link — links to the Shopify order status page.
  • Invoice number — encodes the invoice number.

Preview and verify the scan

Generate a test invoice and scan the QR with a UPI app to confirm it opens a payment to the correct UPI ID for the correct amount.

Result

Your invoices display a working QR code. With UPI selected, customers can scan and pay instantly.

The B2B e-invoice QR (with the signed IRN) is generated as part of e-invoicing and is separate from this payment QR.
